It’s the first Wednesday of June and I have a bag full of new tracks to show you all. A good mix of old and new with a couple of radio shows and mixes thrown in at the footer.
I’m happy to be staying consistent with the newsletter so far. I’ve had good feedback and have been enjoying the process. I look forward to the coming months, putting together a few more of these.
Let’s get to the music. There is plenty of good stuff here. The formula remains the same. enjoy.

Super Djata Band - Fongnana Kouma
Beatiful, long, meditative track with lots of percussion and immersive vocals. Coming out of Southern Mali.
Spotify:

FaltyDL - Atlantis
This is a Ninja Tune track from back in 2011. It has a big fat deep bassline and a swing to it that I can’t quite escape.

Bruce - Æon
One of many nerdy Hessle Audio tracks that I love from the Bruce album released in 2018. Exciting, deep and mesmerizing.

Tomoko Soryo - I Say Who
Catchy brainworm of a track, from a great era of Japanese music. This is from 1977. I couldnt find it on streaming. But maybe it’s out there somewhere if you know how to search for it in kanji.
Update: I found it on Spotify:
#soul #funk #japan #city pop
SKEGSS - TRANSACTION FEE
The most fun you can have in two and a half minutes. Very relatable.

Expansive, folky track with steel guitar. On that country tip.
It’s nice for driving.
Sav tipped me on this one through her dublab DE show.

Hugh Mundell - Jacqueline
The LP that this track is from was in my hands when I was at a shop just the other week. I should have pulled the trigger on that one. I can’t get enough of this song. It’s catchy and passionate with a fat bubbling bassline underneath.
